About Nesting

Snowdrops pushing up through the earth in warm sunlight

Why we started Nesting

We're three women who have lived through hard things - and come out the other side with determination, resilience and a good sense of humour. We know what it feels like to be stuck, to wait, and to wonder whether anyone really gets it. Nesting is the place we wish had been there for us.

Our mission

To give people in Staffordshire who feel stuck - especially young people - a safe place to land and room to grow. And to support the counsellors who walk alongside them, from their first placement to their first years in practice.

What we stand for

  • We've been there, so we don't judge.

You'll meet people who understand, not people who lecture.

  • We take small steps seriously.

Getting out of bed, making a call, walking through our door - it all counts.

  • Healing can include laughter.

Support can be warm and light as well as professional.

Our promise

However you arrive, we'll listen first. We'll be honest, go at your pace and keep you safe. Our counsellors work to the [BACP Ethical Framework], are supervised, insured and DBS checked, and our rooms are calm, private and [accessible].
